The Junior Arc is involving younger professionals (age 21–35) with those who may have different ways of living. We get together monthly to enjoy activities and catch up on life. We choose appropriate venues so that individuals can really be themselves and speak freely … without feeling weird. Our summer events are usually held outside in the evening, so we can mingle amid Denver’s natural beauty.
We really enjoy getting acquainted with new people. We really have a blast learning from each other and talking about experiences some of us have in common. Good friendships have been growing with each outing, as people become familiar with each others’ common interests. These friendships expand everyone’s world.
If you want to attend some fun activities and get to know some new people who might share your interests, then please join us at our next event. What we believe:
1. That people with disabilities should have all the same rights that those without disabilities have.
2. Segregation is not beneficial to anyone ever!
3. People with disabilities should be respected, for respect presumes equality.
4. In order to grow one must challenge oneself.
5. Education is the key to progress.
6. Everyone should learn more about advocacy and issues that are important to young adults with disabilities.
