Arc of Denver is a membership association dedicated to advocating with and empowering people with developmental disabilities and their families to participate fully in community life.
Last year we helped over 400 persons with referrals to appropriate agencies or organizations, assisted over 525 persons with direct advocacy, and trained over 100 persons with basic information about benefits, civil rights, and best practices for people with disabilities.
The Arc of Denver and Honorary Chair Senator Ken Gordon cordially invite you to our 54th Anniversary Gala Celebration. It will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, 6:30 to 11:30 PM, at the Cable Center, 2000 Buchtel Boulevard on the University of Denver campus. We’ll have live, silent, and mystery auctions, and tasty food. Erica Brown and her band will provide us with glorious sounds of the blues. We expect to have over 300 persons joining us this year.
This year our theme is “Ain’t Singing the Blues.” This will be a celebration of optimistically moving forward and not focusing on the past. People with cognitive disabilities are rising to positions of equality and increasingly being viewed as valuable members of their communities. We wish to celebrate their accomplishments and success.
The Arc of Denver, Inc. is requesting your consideration of donating items to our live and silent auctions. In appreciation, we will list your donation in our program brochure. Our goal is to raise over $25,000 for our programs. We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation, our tax identification number is 84-0614525.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank you in advance for your attention to this request. If you need more information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Director of the Board
